This Week at the Mustard Seed
June 8, 2018
What a relief it is to finally welcome guests into our new home! The mix of folks coming through the doors is an answer to prayer and a great encouragement. There is great socio-economic diversity in this area of town and our prayer is that everyone feels welcome here! We’ve rejoiced to see dear friends from the Rio Grande neighborhood, welcomed a group of special needs students from Canutillo HIgh School and a Bible study group from St. Marks. We had business people, moms and dads with little ones, senior citizens, and new friends from the Head Start program. One mother and daughter came from the Northeast side of El Paso and promised to return! Teachers and school-age children are coming now that they are out of school.
We hosted a launch this past week for Engage Apologetics and welcomed leaders from Bank of America and Merrill Lynch who came to deliver a $5,000 grant! And a constant this week and every week that we’re open are the amazing volunteers that God continues to bring through our doors. They are truly the smile and welcome of the Mustard Seed Cafe.
