This week, Vida Natural wants to present the idea of active living during the holidays. Being active can look different for everyone. We all have different needs and levels of mobility, and there is always something we can do to stay active. Here is a holiday tip to help you practice healthier habits:
Go for a walk!
- During this holiday season, make that trip to the store count. Park further from the entrance, skip the elevator/escalators and get some extra steps in by using the stairs.
- What if you went for a family walk before, during, or after “the feast”? Not only is it a great way to get some movement, but it is also a great time to bond.
- Connect with your family or friends in a creative manner as you set up a steps challenge with a fun prize for the winner. If you have a smartphone, you can use it to track your daily activity!
- If all else fails, why not throw on some music and have an impromptu dance party?
