• Know of someone in need of a warm meal? How To Help!

  • Noche de Gracias

Here at the Mustard Seed Café, one of the most important times of the year is the night of the first Thursday of December when we celebrate our volunteers. That night the staff is committed to serving our faithful, dedicated, hard working volunteers. We express our gratitude, respect, and admiration with our annual Christmas party, NOCHE DE GRACIAS. On Noche de Gracias we recognize the Volunteer of the Year, and award this person the Jerry and Susan Hobson Outstanding Volunteer Award.

This year has been a unique and trying time for our community, and that includes The Mustard Seed. We have been able to serve 24,700 meals and have worked 8,550 hours through the café and the Amigos Garden. None of this would have been possible without the support of our dedicated and selfless volunteers who have given their time to cook, bake, serve, make masks, roll silver wear, deliver meals, sort produce, plant, water, harvest and so much more… for that reason, this year’s award goes to ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS!

Thank you all for going above and beyond by being the hands, feet and voice of Jesus. Each one of you is the Mustard Seed Café, and we can proudly say that our mission, “to feed hungry people and care for their hearts”, isn’t just something we say: it is a reality that is being achieved and will continue in 2021. Thank you for your obedience and patience, and thank you for serving at the Mustard Seed. Muchisimas Gracias!
