Children should spend the summer months enjoying fresh air and sunshine, without the gnawing feeling of an empty stomach. We’re doing our best to make sure kids in our community can enjoy their summer break, but we can’t do it alone. Luckily, there are community partners like Albertsons and Safeway.
Albertsons and Safeway Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors recently gifted the Mustard Seed Cafe a $15,000 grant to help feed children during the summer. We want to thank Albertsons and Safeway Foundation Nourishing Neighbors for their generous donation.
We’ll use the grant to feed vulnerable and hungry children in our community. We’re partnering with local churches to feed children participating in VBS, and serving families who come to our doors. Please pass the word on and share our community cafe with anyone you know who could use a delicious, free lunch and a warm welcome!
