• Know of someone in need of a warm meal? How To Help!

  • Vida Natural

We are pleased to share that the Paso Del Norte Health Foundation has given the Mustard Seed a grant to promote healthy eating and active living through our new program, Vida Natural! Nutritious meals have always been a priority for the cafe, but now we are able to further make that a reality through this partnership. Garden volunteer Clarissa Parra, who has worked with Garden Manager Bill Hooten for almost three years and is pursuing becoming a Master Gardener, is ready to lead us as we implement Vida Natural. Clarissa will provide monthly nutrition and gardening classes, training participants on nutrition, portion sizes, and how to include vegetables and fruit in our food. The Amigos Garden is increasing the amount of vegetables and fruit grown for use in our meals. We are excited for this new opportunity, and encourage you to follow us on our social media platforms for more information on how you can participate and benefit from this!
