Jobs: helping in the kitchen and the serving line. She says serving the salad bar is her favorite!

This sweet young lady, Mariann, age 16 and a sophomore at Coronado High School, is volunteering during her spring break to accrue community hours for the National Honors Society.

“I’m volunteering here during spring break, but in the future, I want to come in and volunteer more because I really like it. I like the environment and that everyone is here for a good cause to help out. Everyone has been so welcoming and nice.

“On my first day here I saw the students from Howard University here helping out, cutting vegetables and helping in the garden. I found that really interesting how different universities come here to learn from the cafe!”
