The Amigos Garden is transitioning from our hot summer temps and we are looking forward to cooler weather! The pomegranates are ripening on the trees, and our squash plants produce around three times a week. The tomatoes have slowed down, but they provided us with some beautiful fruit this summer. As we steward the garden, the scraps from the kitchen enrich the soil through our compost, bringing things full circle!
Garden volunteers come in all ages and gardening abilities. While giving their time and energy to help the garden thrive, they learn to plant, weed, care for, and harvest in our high desert climate.
Visit the Amigos Garden to learn more! Our weekly hours are M/W/F, 8:00-10:00 a.m., and our gardeners are happy to share!
